Texas does not have a money problem.they have a coaching problem. Granted, the last couple of years have been tough because of the oil price. The comeback of oil will lead to UT's portfolio to ballon. They are the richest program in the NCAA.and it's not close.

UT being $2000000 or so in the red for a year is like you losing $20. You are a little annoyed, but it won't affect you in any real way. Total endowments for public higher education in the Lone Star State approach 60 Billion dollars, with 25 billion of that being in the UT system

Unlike Louisiana, Texas places real value on quality education.

If Houston was accepted to the Big 12 I would say you may have a point, but I highly doubt this would happen.

Dumb question, but what do these coaches do with all this money? Most live in "college towns" which arent that expensive to begin with, and then most expenses are taken care of anyway. Not trying to sound like bernie, but just curious.
