ULM has long stated who they are.
I don't think they are involved in this.

Well. The SBC may have gotten behind calling us by our right name, but too bad the SBC board moderators, like our 'friend' chiefsfan, won't do the same thing. Case in point:
There is a thread there started today by a ltu/cuss troll titled "Ark St vs ULL" which manages to insult both teams by purposely calling us by names he shouldn't. And in a later post he repeatedly calls us 'ull'....effectively sticking us the bird and kicking us in the balls at the same time.
No wonder no one here bothers to post there much. They treat us like shi!!t. And leading the pack is chiefsfan.
Maybe he should spend less time reading and posting here and do his job there.
good moderators would have put that in the smack talk bin at once, instead participate in it. the only point of that thread was to start controversy. CajunNation started a more reasoned game thread.
EXACTLY. It was meant to kick us in the nuts. From an ltu@r troll. And it was allowed, and is continued to be allowed.
But actually all they really need to do is edit his posts to reflect the correct naming scheme. In all of his can posts.
But they won't. The ltu@r trolls run that place.
Didn't know where to bring this up, so I am posting on this thread. We have actually been very inconsistent in what we put in our weekly game notes lately. Even after our "new policy" went into effect on Nov. 1, we have been inconsistent with how we post in the notes.

Still waiting on media notes for ULM. It may be nothing but I am curious as to why we took off the "Please do not use the following in any instance: ULL, La.-Lafayette, La.-Laf., LLU, OR SIMPLY "LAFAYETTE" (not to be confused with Lafayette College in Pennsylvania)." This curiosity came after reading an Advocate article where they use the Louisiana-Lafayette name, which I could have sworn we specifically said don't use (as if that matters with them).
It may be nothing, I'm just saying.
Because telling people what not to call us gives them numerous options to call us. Leave all that ____ out, tell them only what to call us and leave it at that.
