My take, fwiw: Not everyone is a leader. Scott "decided" the AD job involved too much of it. Now, he can go administer stuff.
The answer to this question depends on who his replacement will be.
Good reply and yes Mr Alden will b the gentleman that will bring the next A D to us. One of his products just left ULM and is now the executive assoc A D at Uni of Geo.
The Fans have spoken. Bye Scott Farmer. Thank you for what you have helped us accomplish while at LA. Don't ever underestimate the power of the FAN. Take notes Jay. You are becoming more and more unpopular by the day. We may need some new young blood in your seat????
Agree, with the Alumni Support and GIVERS, he did what he could.
This is not a insult, but I learned, from a LSU TAF supporter, they have over 12,000 members, with that kind of support, we surely go set our heights higher and certainly could have raised more money each year. Yet, I bet we have less than 2000 RCAF members. I am frustrated too. Winning is so important to us athletically, as if our athletic programs aren't successful, we have nothing to be proud of. I for one, Like to have winning programs in all our sports, but realistically, it ain't gonna happen. Most of the readings on face book, feel we should be above, all the other Universities Athletically. Enrollment wise, one would think we should have lots of money for athletics. You can thank our state government over the last decades for keeping the Universities and Colleges from raising their own funding for Athletics by preventing how much of the colleges can withdraw from college tuition. And now, with the job depression going on in our area, money is tight, the voters, voted DOWN this past election for giving the Universities and Colleges the authority to do the very thing they need to to FUND Athletics and other projects, Giving them the power to DO SO. People are not willing to pay for things they feel are wasteful. It is my opinion, Athletics has not been accountable on some of its Spending, especially for Men's Basketball. Such a disappointment. I am starting to question recruiting for Men's Basketball and Football. We should be stronger and with the new Facilities we have for those sports, you would think,if you did not get a Scholarship offer from an SEC, we would get some good looks from those recruits not going their. The SEC schools get the cream of the crop, there is still plenty of young men and women out their we could get and I don't understand why we are not getting those LOOKS and if so, why we are not closing the deal to get to play for us.
These are my thoughts. I am frustrated and have grave concerns for our Athletic Program and our loyal fans.
