Thread: Louisiana vs Delaware State

VO, that strong press defense was the only time Drake did not score. Those press defense turnovers were the different in this game.

He won't be exciting to watch, but he will quietly score his 10-15 points with solid D, 6-10 boards and a few assists thrown in.

Bryce will be a double-double machine for the next two years.

As to where will the minutes go; if I coached this group, I would go up tempo and play them all. Full court pressure defense and a fast and aggressive offense, even in the half court. More or less the Nolan Richardson "40 minutes of Hell" game plan. Every time the clock stops, run a fresh set of legs in the game. We are not great, but we are 10 deep in good or better.
We were talking about this last night, I really like miller and Washington together, their game compliments each other and it will only get better the more they are on the court together.

By no means am I saying he's as good (right now), but Hardy's style reminded me of Ryan Harrows from GA State. I hope he can be just half as good as Harrows was.

He does not handle himself like a freshman at all. The game appears to have slowed down for him already.

Ryan Harrow was absurd in the second half of the SBC Tourney final that we ultimately won.

Yep. Would have taken him over Princess Hunter everyday of the week.

This. Miller will be Bryce to Bryce's Shawn. Miller had a great assist last night from the high post to Bryce in the low block.

Interesting stat on the 3 freshman gaurds, Hardy, Evans, and Brown. They are shooting a combined 44% from 3 and have totaled 12 assists in a combined 152 minutes. Last year 3 point "specialist" Hayward Register shot 29% and had a total of 9 assists in 448 minutes played all season.

With the 3 transfers being able to play next year, and only losing 1 senior from this year, and getting that big recruit from Peabody, next year could be really fun.

This was a good team, regardless of conference. These guys were hitting 3's from well beyond the arc. Where we need to be worried is on the glass. We had to go smaller to match up and they still hurt us rebounding. This game was a weird won to watch because you always felt we were going to come out on top and it looked like we were going to end the game winning by 15 or so and they all of a sudden started jacking up 3's again and making them.
