There is a reason why Washington touches the ball on every possession, and has for the last two years.
VOB, I know the difference very well. I was mentioning that his conditioning does not look very good along with the body type to handle the grind of a long season. These comments were made when Bryce entered the program as well so its nothing new. However, Bryce has matured and changed his body completely to be the player he is. That is no accident. For Miller to be that type of player, he will have to do the same and I'd be very surprised if this isn't part of his progression plan already.

"Impressive" is a very subjective term. We were all talking about who is most impressive to each of us and I like Brown and Hardy more as to the impact they could give us.

We are picking at nits; both of us. Like arguing over whether you would rather Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. I am a Bird guy, you are obviously in the Magic court. Both of us would take both of them in a heartbeat.

And all of the things you mention were across the high school level. I don't doubt that he has a basketball IQ if you will but the fact remains, that in college and the length of this season, he is going to have issues with conditioning and getting those minutes he might have gotten in better shape. He's also an under the rim player, which again, is not a death warrant in terms of illustrating how good of a college player one is, but it is something that is going to affect his production in college versus high school where he could make up for that with shear size.

No doubt. He and McHale were definitely pre Rex Chapman.

Considering he has already lost 50 pounds he is committed to it, but it's not easy to lose 80 pounds in a year without getting sick or losing strength. He is still a 6'7 big boy...6'7 250 isn't that big either. Bryce is an inch shorter and only 5 pounds lighter.

Hence the words "Body Type". Again, not saying he isn't committed to it but I feel it will be best for him, just like it was for Washington..Geez

Bryce had 2-1/2-3 years to get his body in the shape he's in. Baby fat, gone.

Miller may need more time, but too early in his time here to be critical of his conditioning or body type. It's my understanding we got him because of his weight issues, so lets hope he can continue to work on that part and give him some time to do so.

Rick, I watched video on him both in HS and Prep school. He began addressing the weight issue seriously right after the State Tournament 2 years ago, when he did not get any good offers. He was lighter last year than in HS and lighter still this year. I think he is on the right path.
