We are the worst D1 program in Louisiana this year......bring that to the bank
First year I have not renewed as well, when they called and I said no, they said "ok thanks" didn't ask why, didn't try to sell me, didn't mention the new dome...nothing zero...ok thanks, click. Besides I figured I'd save my money on season tickets in case we make the SBC tourney championship I'll go to that since that's the only thing we are here for anyway.

Not saying I'm content. We should always strive for better and I have posted that my support for Marlin is fluid. Right now he is the coach and I choose to support the team.
My question is how many times can one post about how unhappy they are? It seems as if some posters are just chomping at the bit waiting for a game to end to _____ about the team, Marlin, etc.
Did you not renew as a form of protest? How do you feel about the political protesters that either didnt vote or are not even registered to vote?

Don't bring that stupid political 5hit into a basketball conversation.....it's got NOTHING to do with it.

I didn't buy because it's such a 5hitty product PERIOD!!! Would you continue buying clothes that tore after you washed them the first time. Would you buy food that spoiled before you got it home from the grocery store, would you buy season tickets to the Browns......nahhhh didn't think so.

    Political.....huh that's a funny spin

We are atrocious. Our coach is a monotone blob that's stuck in the 80's. His philosophy stinks, he couldn't win with NBA caliber players, he only cares about a few games in March....shall I go on? Nope, lets just discuss the records we broke last night while playing a team that would lose to STM.

Here's a positive....Beer lines will be short when I do go watch a few games once NFL and College Football is over.

Like I said - See ya next year for Mob Barlin's redemption, contract extending year.

Not a valid comparison. He DID vote. He voted NO by declining to give any of his money to UL basketball. That is the only vote he has that could make a difference.

I did the same, just not to the same extent, by cutting my season tickets in half.

As to complaining about the team, no one has called out players here; quite the opposite. Every complainer is complaining that Marlin's teams are not as good as his players, and that leaves poor coaching as the probable cause. The games we win, we do so by overcoming his coaching. The other major complaint is with scheduling. Players or 'the team' have nothing to do with that at all. That is ALL on the coach.

Wasn't bringing politics in, just pointing out the parallel of one not voting but protesting the election and one who apparently has washed his hands of the program but still _____es about it.
I see college sports differently from a product. I have zero loyalty to a brand, company or product. UL is my alma mater, my community and something that is part of my family. I choose to support because of that. Not because of the "product" on the field. If that were not the case I would be a UK fan one year, maybe a Duke fan the next. They have the best "product".
My loyalty is to the program because I believe that my support makes the program better.

Not renewing is the ultimate protest, it shows the powers that be you are not going to pay for crap.

Don't even try to bring this to a political equivalent. Frankly I don't even have a problem with those guys unless they were in a battleground area. Anybody from California not voting changed not a single thing. Absolutely comfortable with non voters protesting as long as they are not violent or abridge the rights of others to move about. You should be too.

Disagree. If you do not take part in the process, your protestations ring hollow and seem disingenuous. But I absolutely support the right to protest.

You have to stand for something. You can't just open your wallet and throw money down a black hole w/out getting something back in return. Ticket prices go up, concessions go up, etc. Yet our level of play stay stagnant or goes down. We are getting left behind in everything except the diamond sports and the reason for that is coaching.

So back to what I said. I will still go, because I love to watch sports and I love the Cajuns, but I will not just renew my tickets (along with my extras I get for customers every year) and continue to watch a pathetic product. They will get my dollars on the days that I decide to attend. Not gonna buy 8 books and watch them collect dust....customers don't even want them anymore.

5hitty product, yet our AD/President seem to think all is good. BIG PROBLEM

I think Big Fish bought a game day program last year and did some research. He saw what Jesse Evans was able to do with D1 transfers and he's gonna save his butt for at least one more year. I miss those days.

I think our Tennis team could be us in basketball....maybe Cajunsmike can confirm?
