We have a real shot at getting someone into the national meet.. if we do, from what I am gathering, it would be the first time since the 80s that a runner from any Louisiana school went to the national meet.
If you talking Louisiana born, it has definitely been decades.
I do know McNeese's David Rooney was All-American (7th overall) in 2012. I vividly remember ULM having a Kenyan qualify a few years before that. Also, I am almost certain LSU had a Kenyan qualify during my time, I believe sometime between 2003-2005. He was good but I can't remember is he qualified or just missed it.
Hopefully, we can get 2 guys.
Daniel Mutai for ULM was 2011.
I wasn't going for Louisiana born.. but I forgot all about Rooney... duh...
Beau and Bryce weren't born in Louisiana.. they were born in Palm Bay Fl, but were there less than a year.
