LA Gametimes, TV Listings Announced For Georgia, Arkansas State Games

This means out of 6 homes games we only had 3 regular tailgate opportunities. This, once again, shows a total lack of concern for the fans. We are not a national draw so why not make the fans' (remember us) game experience a good one. Please stand up for the fans and let us do what we do best . . . tailgate and attend games. Take away the tailgating opportunity so you can be on a network nobody will see and you will have few show up for the game. If you continue to take away tailgate opportunities, you will erode your already rapidly deteriorating fan base. HUD says he wants to be on TV to impress recruits but how many recruits will be impressed with no one in the stands. We, as fans, are really trying to support this team but you make it so hard for us to do so.

Kickoff for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns scheduled football games later this month against Georgia and Arkansas State have both been announced as 11 a.m. CST, officials from the SEC and Sun Belt Conference announced on Monday.

This might be the most ____ed off I have ever been as a football season ticket/tailgate holder. I have had tickets and a tailgate spot for over 15 consecutive years. I pay good money every year and do my best to get others to come out.
I had a nice tailgate planned for the Ark St game with some friends and their families coming in from out of town , but with the time change, no chance they are coming now!

I also feel like I was ripped off for the amount of money I spent to own a camper tailgate spot, and now I only get 3 games to tailgate.

This was my groups first year with a tailgating spot and we had the last game cirlcled to "do it big". This sucks plain and simple.

I hate Farmer as much as anyone, but I REALLY bet he has LITTLE to NOTHING to do with this. ASN has the TV rights and chooses the kickoff times. They selected another SBC game for the 2:30 slot, leaving us with the 11AM slot.

I'm willing to bet Farmer hates it just as much as we do.

Try and do your tailgate after the game. That's what we did for Boise. We had a light/small breakfast at the tailgate with eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc. And cooked our main meal after the game.


But I agree overall, attendance will suck REALLY BAD! Blame ASN, and ASN ONLY!

That being said, I am curious if teams could have opted out of the ASN telecast, or if this was forced by the TV contract with ESPN and their right to sell games to ASN.

ASN wanted to air the LA vs USA game in middle of Sept in south Louisiana at 2:30 PM, and we politely said "____ YOU!" So they said, fine we will air your game against stAte. And told us at that time it would be an 11 AM or 2:30PM kickoff.

Don't think that's quite how it went, if they pick up the game a certain number of days before we don't have a say so in the time...they didn't pick up the south al game soon enough so we did have a say so. If anyone in the department gave them the impression of a polite"____ You!" They just told us "_____you!" Right back.
