That airplane video said it all.

Want to get ____ed off? We got to the game late and parked north of Cajun Field. Was walking thru the field when we cut it to 7-3. Here is what was wrong.
Easily had 50 to 100 "fans" leaving along the path we walked. Yup, most wearing Cajun gear. I understood those with small children, but the rest? No way they were all headed to work. They came, they ate, they drank, they left. Can't blame the team/product, was early on. None had purple on at least.
I agree, that is sad. But the reality of the situation, it is up to the team to win, establish some success and give people a reason to come and stay.
Hell, I have been attending Cajun games since the 1960's with my parents at old McNaspy stadium on campus and then here at Cajun Field as a student and now as an adult. I have not missed more than 10-12 home games total in all of those years. But it is getting harder and harder for even someone like me to continue getting excited about attending games with the way the team is playing!
I am a loyal fan not only do I sit through this crap I have five season tickets and I am the only one that attends games for my wife goes to school out of town. I then purchase at least five more tickets every game for friends and family. I am retired military so my income is not great but I am loyal not to mention I hold tickets in other sports. I am so disgusted right now to see what we are doing. I hit a low point with 452 left in the game down by 10 and we refused to call time outs to at least make the fans believe that we were still fighting. The season is lost IMO so lets move to the future with Davis. I will not repeat what players are saying but its time to move on. This reminds me of the Bustle years. If you want people to stay put a decent product on the field. I know the scheduling is not Hud's fault but whoever it is shame on you. Five good games all crappy situation minus McNeese game.
So we took then tent down at the Eaque for the last time ever yesterday. I highly doubt we will renew the 2 spots for next year. Its really sad, because we were some of the originals. Too much hassle for too little payback. We had numerous chances to strike while the iron was hot, only to sit on our sssses and do nothing.

Here is what I don't understand.
Last game, we crushed it with a lot of 2 TE sets against an undersized front 7.
If there was another game on the schedule where we could do this, it was against Idaho.
Where did those plays go?
We probably aren't; but we are the ones who spent years trying to get UL to take our money for our tailgate spot. We are probably one of the primary reasons that we have all the pay tailgating located anywhere further from the stadium than the general area of the Krewe de Chew.
So much promise, so much potential wasted; all because our president doesn't want to grow. We aren't leaving because we are losing [we tailgated through the Toothpick years]; we are leaving because the powers that be have refused, and continue to refuse, to dare to be great.
Hell, they don't even dare to be good. They are comfortable being a mediocre program in a mediocre conference.
Even the "Roosta" at the Krewe de Chew is starting to lose a few tailfeathers!!! LMAO!
