Is it okay to question the coach yet? Another underperforming season.
We are comfortable with mediocrity, Express.
Only game I watched all season and they strategy seemed ridiculous. Our whole offensive scheme was to kick it in their corner and let our striker battle two defenders to try and win the ball then beat both of them and then the whole defense. Whereas app state made nice passes up the field and in the final third. I don't know of we bad but one or two shots on goal the whole game. And then app state got beat 6-0 yesterday so they were very beatable
Scot Wieland has coached at UL for 12 years. I didn't go all the way back to his first season, but the past 9 years are representative enough. Being the number 7 or 8 seed in the Sun Belt tournament seems to be his team's ceiling. They were the 5 seed this year with a 4-4-2 conference record.
They've been better in recent years, but hovering around .500 seems to be enough to keep Scot in the job.
