When one conference doesnt fill one of their bowl bids, should that bid be taken away in the following season as well?

It isn't up for a vote. The bowls are not going to pizz off the SEC, Big 10, ACC, BigXII, Pac 12. The NCAA isn't going to give the P5 programs another reason to opt out of the NCAA. While you may think you are asking some insightful questions, they really are a trip down the yellow brick road. You don't seem to understand the pecking order of things in college athletics. It isn't a democracy, and you cannot climb as high as you are willing to work for. There are multiple ceilings that cannot be broken.

whatever happened to “Do. Or do not. There is no try.”

glass ceilings really..... we have president Obama, and a nominee of a major party that is female, yep glass ceilings can never ever be broken.... the political media is about to die off, due to fighting and standing up against it and refusing to believe the lies, the sports media should be next (and is close as you can see by their "good business" poor financial statements)

if you like things how they are so be it, keep losing at "their game" and don't stand up for anything, but don't offer me "cannot" or "don't seem to understand"

What I'm saying is it's a privileged private club everyone wants to be in. There's a couple of spots left, but UL isn't prepping to get in. You can't break into Rex until you're invited.

It's not a matter of the G5 trying harder, smarter. You're going to be one of the P5, or something totally different. Much like NCAA vs NAIA. The NCAA will do almost anything to not become the modern version of the NAIA. They're not going to do what you think makes sense. They're not stepping on P5 toes.

So if we were to "get in" are we then going to "become them" and cheat (but get away with it) lie and steal and do all the same things to others that are being done to us? No thanks...
    Not without systematic change....
Whats the point of that, more $ but throwing it away frivolously....already other options to root for that, go to walmart and buy their shirt, whats the point of us " moving up" in that scenario

The point of "moving up"? Yeah, why would we ever want to do that? What would we ever do with an extra $30-$40 million a year?

If we keep it and use it, of course, but if the cost of "doing business" goes up as well, do you really have anything to show for it? Throwing it away on illegal expenses? Funny you focus in on that alone and skip the meat of the statememt, are you the media???

Our recent history had us at 4-8, and bowl ineligible. You don't go back past 2 completed seasons for a "pattern". I know color analysts use that kind of silly talk. But you are exactly who and what you are in a given year. Regardless... as someone else said... I'd rather we get to a bowl and lose, than not make a bowl. I like our seniors to get that experience... it helps in recruiting... and it's an extra game of practice for the returning team members.

So wait you'd rather stay G5 than move up be/act like one of "them"?? Lolololl

And if we're ever gonna move up, we're gonna need those fans who get their shirt at Walmart. You'd rather run them off

Try to imagine a world that is not about winning points from a post..... I dont care if every post i make loses, if it means the cajuns win but more importantly there is a level playing field
