Time to get back on track
Time to get back on track
I thought last weeks game could have been the turning point of the season, but I was wrong. This is the must win game and will dictate the results the rest of the way.
And yeah, I still read and listen to the bird man. He is not perfect, but I respect his opinion on sports most of the time.
Not a shred of evidence that is truth. We've got as inconsistent an offense as almost anybody in FBS. Our run defense is okay not great, but pass defense more than makes up for that perceived strength.
We've got a great punter, average place kicker, and a great running back whose lame, and no real holes to run through.
TxSt and UL essentially a pick it. Vegas does give us a double digit road favorite as they did for App State.
It'll be a dogfight. Just be happy with any win.
So in essence, we must have at least one point more than TX State has at the end of the forth quarter. That is what we need to do, to assure a win. Simple. A little sarcasm here....
The J/K aside... I wish people would recognize the differences in the extremes on this site and be less critical in both directions. I have Cajun friends that simply do not want to analyze the faults, and just want to enjoy whatever comes of Cajuns athletics. They are very likely to simply say on game week "Geaux Cajuns... I sure hope we win and Hud figures out how to keep on winning.". Then I have friends... equally, if not even greater Cajun fans... that are absolutely beside themselves with the collapse of our football program. They see the faults and want a "Come to Jesus meeting" with anyone associated with the failures. And if you say something remotely "sunshine-laced" around them... they'll tear you a new dirt track. I like both perspectives... because I understand both. They need to cut the other a little more slack. The facts are still the facts. It's just a different perspective. They both love the Cajuns.
Oh... and I don't care that Jay knows a lot about the Cajuns. Anyone that turns on the fans needs to be shredded. The fans are the treasure. When UL employees or anyone making a check from anything UL EVER turns on any fan or group of fans... they are to be scorched.
I agree, but I have some of the extremists on ignore. I believe that someone needs to be vigilant in holding the coach and the administration accountable, but I do not like to read the same crap posted by the same people 500 times in one day. I also do not like the branding of people who disagree with them as traders, sunshine pumpers, infidels, etc. Most of us are Cajun fans, and if you aren't why waste time here? (of course there are trolls) At times, RP becomes like National Enquirer and at other times it becomes like a vigilante committee that just talks big but does nothing. Personally I have to take a break from it occasionally in addition to putting some of the more radical posters on ignore. I was aggravated by the way Jay left RP, but I question whether his presence here was a good idea in the first place.
The post you quoted was mainly to tease my old friend CajunPride though and was in no way serious.
Okay, now that the season has turned for the better, imo. Who wants to bet against the Cajuns straight up when we play Idaho in 2 weeks?
Crawfish- I always like your style and the way you keep everything from getting too serious.
