Okay, now that the season has turned for the better, imo. Who wants to bet against the Cajuns straight up when we play Idaho in 2 weeks?

Crawfish- I always like your style and the way you keep everything from getting too serious.
Jay kind of nailed the keys to victory. I listened to the pregame show and you could tell Gerald B wanted to just say "Texas St sucks and we should kill them". Still surprised how much trouble Jennings has finding receivers down field.
And Raoul you are correct. The ignore button makes this site much easier to read.
Gerald Broussard has great instincts about our opponents. He tells you what you need to know in his review of the games in advance. He tells you what we are doing well and what we are not. Only he never says it like that. He missed his calling, he should be on the Cajun TV Network with Cox. Oh, yea, forgot we don't have that network.
I understand the view that some talk big but do nothing. However I view that approach as simply venting. After all, most folks here have little ability to do anything about the weaknesses of the program. I won't say what is posted here is not realized by people in the administration but the impact is limited. Again, people simply vent.
Jennings was 18 for 22. Did not realize he was that efficient. Granted most were relatively short throws. Reason he has trouble finding receivers open is they are usually not "open" downfield. The two minute drive before half to get us in FG range was perhaps his best play of the season. I heard Gerald's comments earlier in the week as well. Even though he realized Texas State had issues, he and most other analysts did not foresee such a dominating defensive performance. I give the Cajun defensive staff some props as they had the guys is such good position they seemed to know what was coming at times. Nice to hear that about an opponent rather than ourselves.
I agree the windows are tight. Our receivers do not get a lot of separation.
On D, this is one of our best run defenses in recent memory. Looks like S Thomas is also rounding into form. Tackling is much improved. In hindsight HUD firing the DC after 1 game was a great move.
After the first interception it was like the same old same old. It was an ill-advised throw that looked like some of his earlier efforts. He settled in after that one and the second interception was not his fault. Overall, I am really disappointed in his play though because I think he has lost his confidence about throwing downfield. He is not a creditable threat to run or scramble either, which is one of the keys to success in this offense.
