Sounds like the definition of a coward, or lazy fan. Not willing to put in the work, and take the beating that it takes to BUILD a program. Rather, you'll go over to the flagship because they're currently winning. I guess when LSU is "average" again, you'll move on from them as well.

You and you're kind make me sick.

How do you know I don't attend UL games? How do you know I attend LSU games? I don't recall saying I am an LSU fan. You see, you guys like to associate people who disagree with you with something you hate. Why not take responsibility for making UL better rather than somehow blaming LSU. I have been to most of ULs basketball games this year and several football games this season. If you insist on this all or nothing attitude for everyone in Lafayette, I promise you support for UL will decrease. But hey....out with the rubish.

How many retired plaques are on the black wall?

And Tulane has ZERO 3 star players, yet they are ranked a good bit higher than us. Same with plenty of other schools. I'm not saying Scout is way better because its only marginally. I would put us higher than many MAC, all but Troy in the SBC and a few others as well. I'd say we are in the 80s though. Nevermind the fact that there were "stars" removed on a few players from a year ago to now which would boost the pointless ranking even more.

You dont win games based on your Rivals or Scout ranking and winning is all I care about (simplistically speaking)

Funny how one troll can launch a thread instantly though.

Are the coaches happy/excited? Are we happy/excited? If the answer is Yes then we do not care about ranking. GEAUX CAJUNS!!!

Guys, I have been going to all most every basketball game since 2002 and I do not know the answers to those questions. Personally I take any fair weather fan we can get. Not that I am sticking up RR man. I think this recruiting class is excellent.

But I do love seeing the plaque by the esclator that reads THE HONARABLE EDWIN EDWARDS.. It makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Scout does automatically rate all D1 signees eventually to 2 stars. Now many of those 1 stars were never evaluated if they didn't attend Scout/Foxsports, Underarmour, Nike and US/Army combines or attend a BCS school camps. They are simply not put in the system. Many times because of economics. This explains why a 1-star athlete like ALex Hill would be visiting Arizona, Duke or Illinois. Once he committed to Illinois, he became a 3-star.

So while all athletes are rated 1-star once the profile is set up, they are not eavaluated unless they attend combines or camps. Now once they are offered by a BCS program, they will get 2-stars added to their rating, as compaired to the 1-star for Non-BCS programs.

The system is not perfect in either case, but cleary it discriminates against Non-BCS programs. It works well for the Top BCS programs, but were it is questionable is with bottom-tier BCS programs like Illinois,Indiana, Minnesota, Baylor, Maryland....etc. Those programs are not any better then some of the programs in CUSA,MAC,WAC, MWC or SBC (Troy or MTU). Yet if Alex Hill signed with any of those conference programs, he woudl still be a 2-star. It he any better then a kid like Daniel Quaves, not according to Mississippi State or Southern Miss who didn't take his commitment because of his low ACT score.

There is a link on the front page of Scout.Com's main page on how rankings are calculated.

Rivals is off because they have ratings on only the athletes that attended Nike/Rivals camps or combines. Most of the Cajun recruits did not attend Nike/Rivals combines.

    :raiseshand:

I've lived in Lafayette for 4 years, and don't support lafayette's university. Just because you move to a city doesn't mean you have to root for them. Thats stupid. A life long resident of Boston and Red Socks fan moves to New York now he has to be a Yankee fan? Umm No! I have 3 teams I follow on each level Major DI LSU...Mid-Major DI LA Tech, I-AA Northwestern St. Why? Because I support MY HOME TEAMS...like I have since I was 4. I used to root for USL/ULL until I moved to Lafayette and saw a lot of pecker envy like I'd never seen before, now I wouldn't go to a game if you gave me free tickets and all I had to do was walk across the street. I supported UL@Lafayette and went to a few games when I first moved here, but since I just upped my donations to TAF and LTAC.

Right, because the war hoax are so superior to UL.
If you don't support the local university, stay the Fack off of the FAN forum.

You just claimed to support HOME teams, yet you give to LTAC and TAF?
You're from a lot of places. I love it when people come on here and try to blast UL fans, but in the process, prove to us that they are the actual ass.

If you don't wanna be here, we don't want you here. Don't let the door hit ya punk...
