In all honesty, I've consciously tried to be more civil lately. And thought I was (I actually defended Hudspeth to start this thread), but I guess I'm not very good at it. You guys will take this how you will, but I got a TON of ____ after taking a hardline stance on hale, on the Tigue, and a couple other things. Look at my post history. I was never aggressively insulting people before that time. I still get people sending me stupid crap about those topics. And most of the time when I tried to handle it differently, it turned out to be BS. All BS. Got old, and just assumed the worst of anyone coming AT ME.

Anyway, to bring it back to the topic, the Falgout comments are deep rooted and really a conversation for another platform. I have many reasons why, in my view, the separation needs to be much more detailed than how its currently constructed and I'd be happy to discuss that in depth as well. As for Jim, I've spoken to him enough to feel like I have a good gauge on his intentions. You've seen me profess my support over and over for Jim. The thing is, Jim is up against a machine. These people want to keep their power or influence in place. The athletic program at UL is not their number 1,5,10,25th priority to them. Their seat at the table is priority #1. The entire foundation is rife with past powerful people's surrogates, and its one of the many many many problems we have getting anywhere. Politically and athletically.

On the Hudspeth deal, I think I was saying they were thinking about playing a 3 deep and you didn't like it. Or vise versa. Something like that.
No doubt Jim is up against the machine.

Typical MAT. Never admits he's wrong, just changes the question to fit his answer.

If RPers would put in as much effect in getting into a better conference instead of insulting each other, we would be in the SEC tomorrow!

Watching the water boy laughing at "We suck again"!

RPers have put in the effort on all fronts. We aren't keeping UL from getting into another conference.

For some reason "Not keeping from" made me imagine Hud's OC saying "Our quitting to throw deep is not what's keeping us out of the end zone"

The middle of the field, is off limits to Jennings short, medium, or long. Corners can cheat on all those out routes.

That's what happened against App State. The "not going deep in the playbook" was mostly cutting Jennings off from supposed high risk passes. Dumber than dumb. Our coaches just might start realizing that losing a game with no turnovers, and no scoring... is still losing the game. Hud doesn't want to admit that what he really needs is a hero 18-23 years old to step in and out athlete 11 other athletes. That isn't what FBS football is all about. If you even sniff you have a weakness somewhere in the system... you don't try to simplify... you have to compensate for it with a clever mind. And if you do have some great athletes, you have to give them more rope to risk up and overcome. You must accept... that with that higher risk... will come some failure. But uninteresting failure will never keep anyone in a job... or in the good graces of the audience.

I don't know about that, there have been a number of people calling out Farmer and Savoie before the Steve Hale meltdown on this board. You know them as the faceless buffoons. They were sticking their necks out before the Tigue debacle, maybe you just weren't paying attention until that incident?

About the only thing more we could do T, is to withdraw all support for UL sports. Maybe that is the only option, but not a practical one.
