Do you have any concrete examples? There are concrete examples of n SEC team jumping over other teams just for winning the SEC title. A SEC champion with a G5 loss would jump over P5 teams with no G5 losses. You can take that to the bank.

There are no concrete examples because the playoff construct is two years old! If I am not mistaken, (notice the use of a comma after an introductory phrase) the current construct was put in place because of the example you cite.

I'll let you guys have your "Oh we almost beat Florida" BS. Anyone that follows college football and still has some kind of long term memory knows that Florida team was not that good. This Tennessee team is much more talented. Tennessee is careless, really careless, but the overall team is one of the best in the country.

Muschamp lost to an FCS school. I don't care when it took place. Show's that any man with that level of preparation faults can be gotten.

Outside of that one anomaly, a Mark Hudspeth coached team has never gone on the road and COMPETED against any kind of quality team. In fact, he's been absolutely crushed by everyone he's played. If someone wants to point out SDSU, fine, but I'll counter that he had a month to prepare for SDSU. The players gutted that one out, Blaine and the WR corps were magical.

App St has accomplished a ton since being called up. 11-2 last year with a bowl win, and dominated this conference. Competed in every game. This year, tough loss to Tenn. Yes, they got waxed at home, against a top 10 program. Check the schedules and the scores. UL was never App St. The comment was dumb.
