He used a player they put in at corner to explain the game. And by identifying that player as someone mistakenly placed, even by the staff, in the game... is throwing the player out in the public as a failure. So yes, he is throwing him under the bus.
I used to have a boss that told people in our group meetings, "You didn't screw up... I screwed up by assigning you this project". That is throwing the person under the bus.
Hud and the media are set on selling us a ____ sandwich. "It's on me folks... I should have used the ketchup we used the last time on the other ____ sandwich. I switched ketchup bottles. That's on me." BS
And saying we used to be like App State... what a joke. "We used to do what it took to win. We don't do that anymore." Cut the crap. What you're doing is crap. And no amount of chest bumping is going to fix it. Humble yourself and get some help. Your soldiers are going to turn on you. You had better stop even saying their names. Own the ____ sandwich!
You have got to be a lawyer. You are wrong. Florida went 7-1 in the SEC that year and made it to a BCS bowl. That is the definition of a nationally ranked team. They were every bit as strong as Tennessee this year.
But, but they lost the next year to GaSo! So what, it has no bearing on the 2012 team.
I'm with you! I want Hud to just completely own it. I wanna see him as upset as I am, and as the rest of the Cajuns fans are. I don't want a new coach. I don't want to have to start over. I just want Hud to wake up and fix this.
If Hudspeth lost to an FCS school, you guys would indict his entire career. Florida should never ever ever lose to an FCS school. That loss showed how retarded the head coach was. Retarded enough to almost lose to Mark Hudspeth.
That year, everyone said Florida was fools gold. And they were. The schedule was a lot fluffier than it looks on paper.
Keep focusing on irrelevant details; that's what losers do. The point is, Hudspeth has never had a team that could compete with the 2016 Vols.
You're missing the ruse. Hud can take blame and still not identify the player or players. "Media and fans, I take the blame for John having not done well last night. He didn't even belong in the game. Fred should have played. Fred would have done better than John. But it's my fault we played that fool of a player named John. I'd also like to point out that my old teams played better than this team... they played like App State... this one sucks. But remember when I had a great team. That was me. I'm one of the few people still in the program that was there when we were great. So I'm still great. It's the people around me right now that aren't. I got rid of Melvin for the ____ sandwich last year... and the poor start this year... I'll be throwing someone else under the bus pretty soon for the ____ show still being displayed. I think it might be the left tackle I'll point out to you next week... as having not been who I should have played. But rest assured... I'm still the guy that used to have a team like App State. It's not me then. It's these other clowns wearing red. But I will point them out to you week to week and let you know which one failed... that I take responsibility for... but again... I was around when we were like App State... winning and stuff... so let's hold onto my rope and see who in this ____ show wearing red I can cut loose from the rope until someone comes along and makes me and the rope look like App State again."
I wouldn't indict HUD's entire career, but I bet you would. Let's see where Tennessee ends up. As someone else said they are a few plays away from a losing record and wanting to fire their coach. Razor thin is the line between loving and hating your head coach.
Back to the topic. You are wrong. We went toe to toe with a SEC powerhouse losing at the end, just like App St did. End of story.
