I can't tell you how many times I saw Shawn or Bryce posted up in the block and wide open, and our guards were playing "dribble around the perimeter".
This season will be just the opposite. We have decent guards but no big men.

We may not have a "dominate" big man but Bryce Washington is a very good basketball player. He is solid in many areas.

Washington and Miller are very solid. Also, we have no proven good guards. Stove is a 3.

He looks like he lost quite a bit of weight and is in terrific shape ... I am expecting him to have a terrific season.

Key at guard will be Bartley. We know he is good defensively from his time at BYU. He played the three spot a lot there. How good will he be when he has the ball in his hands may be the key to the season.

---I am not quite sure of his weight loss---talking to the strength coach that I asked and he said it was a definite goal---I kinda remember his weight though being used as an advantage last year and he looked very quick with the weight

I remember meeting the "Round Mound of Rebound" one night and couldn't believe his NBA body compared to Auburn days

It reminded me of this looking at Bryce this week!!!

In todays offenses, there are not many traditional 1-5s. John plays the swing position well and can certainly guard most 2s.
Letting Wright play the 2 should help his game tremendously and if they really do focus on getting out in transition this season instead of just talking about it, he could have a monster year. I like the talk of being better on defense because I am a firm believer that defense translates directly to offense.

I agree. I thought too often he looked for his own shot rather than getting everyone else involved. Just with feeds to Shawn Long I would have expected 4-5 assists per game average. I think his mindset fits the 2 better.

Good point. You would want more assists from a true 1 than the 3 or so per game Jay had the last couple of seasons. Some have posted that he should have gotten the ball to Shawn more but the other team knew this too! A passing lane that looks wide open from the seats probably has lots of hands in the way. Either way, expecting god things from Jay.

Wondering how after six seasons and heading to season seven of Bobby BigFish we are ranked 222 in CBS preseason? Can you address this coach?

Well, Express, you know none of that matters. We are a one bid league and it is all about 3 games in March.
