In-Game Thread: Louisiana vs. App State

The bomb at the beginning on the second play from scrimmage was our safety covering the wideout. While he couldn't have jammed him at the line, its even worse to see him give up the deep ball since, he is after all, the freaking safety. I will never understand this.

My favorite defensive call was on their second drive when they had 3rd and 5 or so deep in their territory. We had a cover 3 called and settled about 8-10 yards off of their receivers and they just threw underneath for the first down. This was also done with a 3 man rush so we knew we weren't going to get ANY pressure on their QB to make a quick and perhaps inaccurate throw. Just kills me.

The emotion I saw was from the defense. After we were down by 24 points, they continuously talked trash as they were getting pushed around. I really do not recall O.Peters making any plays. I do recall him talking after almost every play.

My observations are from the very beginning of the game, even on the sideline right before kickoff, there was no emotion period. But we can agree that it was missing and points to a team that is done.

I prefer to be critical of our play. You can heap praise on App State if it makes you feel better about the Cajuns. That's what HUD's doing post game

I really don't care. At least one team came to play. I won't take solid play away from them. They could have put up a lot more points had they chosen to really go after it. I'm not saying this to feel better about the Cajuns though as they earned the victory and we will have to deal with the loss moving forward. Maybe you are more drunk than I am but at least one team came to play tonight.

I understand what your saying...just heartbreaking to be at this point in football...will see you at baseball and hopefully will be able to get season tickets this year...

Isn't Hud's record like 2-10 as of late? With the teams and conference we play, this is absolutely embarrassing.
