You seem more excited and interested than most since you are one of the few to comment on these teams. Since 99% of your post are negative we all expect you to have a comment when our teams lose. I get it, every loss fulfills your narrative and makes you look even smarter. No one likes losing and I wish we had a better soccer and VB team, but the program will be judged on three thing: wins, graduation rate and $ it loses per season. Chances are the last two factors are the most important. That being said, if they continue to lose the coaches will not get their contract renewed.
The Ragin' Cajun Volleyball team after starting out a woeful 1-10 to start the season with their only victory vs SWAC member Alabama A&M, the have won 6 of their last 9 games to move to 7-13. I know that sounds lackluster, but considering how bad the start of the season was, this is something to grow on. The UL volleyball team consists of 1 Senior, 5 Juniors, 5 Freshman and 6 Sophomores. That means we have 16 returning members eligible to come back next year and 11 of those are underclassmen this year. And with 6 of their last 11 games in Lafayette, this team has a chance to really improve its conference position.
As far as Soccer goes, the Cajuns are in a 6 way tie for 3rd place in the SBC. That being said they have 2 back to back winnable games vs ULM, who is one of the teams tied with them at home and App State who is at the bottom of the conference on the road. If the Cajuns were to win both of these games, their is a strong possibility that they would be in 2nd place in the conference when they face Conference leader Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC on the last game of the season.
