_ Spikes won't redshirt. In his radio interview yesterday he said one of the reasons he signed here was the opportunity for significant playing time as a freshman. His goal is to break Fenroy's records. Streeter is a JUCO so he won't redshirt and Walker is a grayshirt so he won't redshirt either. Walker may have the advantage early as he will go through spring practice. I predict one of the three will emerge as a kick returner while the other two will handle most of the tailback duties. Note Yobes Walker is likely to play mostly fullback this coming season. _
I Hope he can learn to pick up blitzes.

If Walker becomes the fulltime FB, and one of these guys emerges as an every down back and a good one, UL will have the best backfield in the conference and on par with some of the best in the country.

One of these 3 has the potential to be a 1000 yard back and I think Yobes as a FB adds something that most teams don't have, a running FB, add either Maguire or Gauthier as a running threat and pepper in Masson throwing the ball.

    Offense looks solid to me.

Yobes is no lock at FB either. If we recall, he was not named the starter going into last year because of his inability to grasp the playbook and pass blocking assignments. I do not know what his run block abilities are but he is behind the 8 ball in pass protection especially when compared to someone like Desormeaux who is older and very consistent. Throw in Williams to that group and Yobes may not see the field a whole lot at all.

It's not exactly like he morphed into superman. He looks like he gained about 10 pounds or so but he has clearly gotten stronger as well as larger.
