UL golf finally has a home.

    Me so happy.

Years ago I sat at Pete's with Dan McDonald and listened as coach Bass told us about existing blueprints for a golf course at the Horse Farm.

When the land was given away I never expected UL Golf to ever truly get a place it could call home.

    This is great.

There will be two buildings. One will have three indoor tees the other will be for support and equipment storage. First thing to do is to relocate a sewer line that runs under the location for the proposed buildings.

That shouldn't be a problem. Call the RP member on here who wanted to be in construction when he grew up. It's that time.

I'm happy for coach Theo. I know golf doesn't bring in the big bucks, but those kids wear the UL insignia across their chests just like any other. Good for them

Golf is an actual college sport, just like water skiing?

I'm thinking stabbing sewer pipe together at the bottom of an 8 or 10 foot deep trench would be an excellent starting job in construction.

I believe at UL, men's golf is an official sport. It's listed on the Ragin Cajuns athletic website.

Water skiing is not in that category.

Water skiing is a club sport. Not school sponsored. Same as lax, hockey, rugby, boxing, bowling, men's soccer, etc

Met the golf coach at Softballs golf tourney Monday. Very nice guy. Great to see golf get some love with a new facility.
