Hudspeth is not an FBS caliber head coach.

Man, you guys are on fire today. I want to give each of you a green dot... but Turbine will cut me off for too much complimenting on one day.

Seriously, you guys are spot on in this thread. Hud is lost if he doesn't look inward. The issues on offense are his. And we do not need to simplify the pass plays for AJ. I mean... seriously... did Hud not see the two INT mistakes. AJ lofted a pass into coverage... and the other was a panic attack causing him to lose sight of an open receiver in front of him, and an ill advised across the body shot. He did see a receiver that had the coverage not read his decision and jumped the ball... it would have looked like a great athletic feat that probably would have gone for a TD (for us).

AJ just needs work with a good QB coach and OC. He needs Hud to stay out of his business and theirs. If Hud really wants to dig in and help some people, he needs to work with our OL. Much of our play destruction is OL based. Hud needs to admit he's terrible at play calling and sequencing. Now that I've seen his knee jerk reactions to QBs, I think he tells Munoz (and JJ formerly) "it's your offense until we make mistakes, and then I'm stepping in". How about you not, Hud? You take over recruiting and player hype and energy... and then you may get to keep your salary. If you keep interfering... and keep pounding little running backs into the line... you are out at the end of this year. And Nixon can't help you, Hud... unless you finally realize he's an inside LB or FB. Tell JD he's your #2 and get his head right (don't try explaining football to him... do that hype crap you're a pro at). Let MD have JD as a project. But tell each coach that they get to punch you in the nutsack if you interfere with their work.

I'm doing this for you, Hud. I want you to succeed and stay as our HC. But you've got to listen to sage advice. Don't acknowledge where the epiphany came from... just do it.

Coach can you enlighten us, based on what you've seen so far this season, what is complicated about the UL passing game?

Don't want to speak for BB, but I think his analysis was pretty concise a few posts ago..

    It's not too complicated now...
Maybe we are going to cut the field in half and attack 1/2 of the field instead of the whole field. The only problem is I think they did that last week.....I only want to see w's...I don't give a damn how they get there.

They're stuck in the Mudspeth. But don't expect the Farmer to pull them out. He'll just teach them to swim in circles... like he did the Marlin. Swimming in mud... in the Sun... Belch!

    But hey... 🐸☕️
Coach Johnson took a job that included a huge pay raise back in his home state. Not sure where you were going with one of your glib comments, but we couldn't have kept Jay if we wanted to. But hey, everyone has an opinion...just like _______s.

Nothing glib about the comment. Jay Johnson was the mastermind behind those offenses that had so much success. That's the point.
