Heartbreaker is not how I would describe it.
Backbreaker more like it.
Embarrassing
Time for Jordan Davis. Didn't like Jennings ever coming in. He is not progressing, but regressing. The sad part about this is that the opponents UL is facing has become easier or more equivalent to UL, yet Jennings has not improved from game one. He constantly throws the ball up for grabs. He either does not know the pass routes of the receivers or he does not have the arm to get the ball to the receiver on precise routes.
Jordan Davis needs to be given a chance. He can't be worse than Jennings. If Davis doesn't progress, then on to the next QB. But Jennings is indecisive in both the passing game and run game. Or he is scared to run the ball. Desormeaux was the best option QB I ever saw in the current era. Brian Mitchell was the other. I wish Desormeaux could work more closely with the QB's to explain and teach how he determined when was the best time to hand off or to keep and run.
I'm on the JD band wagon. Jay and Scott play a game called "fill in the blank". Given the history of the QB position under Hudspeth's tenure, Anthony Jennings has started the 2016 season as the starting QB; the starting QB by the end of the season will be __________________.
Not going to be Jennings.
6-6
As I mentioned in another thread, I had no problem with them inserting Nixon over AJ as he was just playing poorly and you sometimes need to make a change. However, I also agree with some that AJ is still the best option at this point. He's the most experienced and the best balance of run/pass of any of our options. Also, if we were to give somebody a shot as the season is becoming more and more lost, I'd want to at least give a shot to Dion Ray.
Reports on Ray not encouraging.
Honestly, the people that provide these "reports" don't carry much weight with me so I'd like for them to get him some game experience and see. This, only, if we take on a couple more conference losses. At that point, we would not be in position to win the SBC and we would likely not really be looking at bowl eligibility.
Dion got hurt? Geez.
Dion is a quarterback, but for a triple option.
