2 things irritate me like nails on a chalkboard when it comes to coaching.
Coaches who mismanage the talent they have. Square Peg/Round Hole (Common theme here)
Coaches who overcoach. Take away as much decision making from the players as possible. Example being running a zone read where there is no read whatsoever, just a called dive that "looks" like a zone read.
Now, Louisiana is, at least, 2 TD's better than New Mexico State.
Whether or not that stands Saturday will only be determined by how much our staff gets in the way.
The man cannot get out of his own way.
"It's 3rd down Darrell. We do a simple run up the middle with Adrian Peterson, get a few yards, kick the field goal, and prepare for the Super Bowl."
"That's what they expect us to do."
"It's also the smart thing to do."
"Yeah, but they will sell out for the run, leaving receivers in single coverage. The field goal isn't a sure thing at this range."
"You call the plays. If it's what you want to run, call it."
After the play.
"Darrell...you ____ing idiot."
Bump
Hud said on the coach's show that NMS defense has a good front 4, so we should expect Eli to run up the middle 20+ times.....
Game day bump!!!
