Tulane is an effing terrible team that has not learned how to run the option yet. We sold out and stopped the "makeshift" half arse attempt at an option. What our defense did do though is turn Tulane into a prolific passing team. They went from 35-50 yards a game passing to looking like Louisville, hitting us with bomb after bomb.

Our offense could've crushed them as you can see how easy it was for us to move it in the 1st qtr. What happens between our coaching staff's ears is beyond me. It's embarrassing to watch the play calling and I don't want to be seen in public wearing Cajun gear after watching our db's attempt to be ANYWHERE IN THE VACINITY OF THE THROWN BALL.
Our offense could have scored a couple of TDs if we wouldn't have coughed the ball up over and over. They were never in jeopardy of getting crushed by our O, or any other offense they've faced so far.

Ok.... Why do we lose 2 extra games bc of our loss to Tulane?

Because we, not just Tulane, had a part in us losing that game. It isn't just about the record. It showed that Hud, offensely, isn't much different than Hud, offensively, from last year. We'd be 0-4 at this point without AJ. Hud isn't "putting the spread in the spread". He's counting on the athletes to just go out and out athlete the opponents. He knows Eli is great... only has him this year... so how could you not run him like a rented mule?

The key to this year and our future years... is mixing it up like a mofo. It's key to Hud recovering his reputation. We were never that good with Hud. We blinked and fell on our ___ last year. Hud needs to come to the realization that it's past time to go for it. He doesn't have that much to lose. He should have taken the juice he got from squeaking out 8-4s and went to extremely dangerous offenses. UL cannot and will not Hud our way into greatness. He needs to stay, even after massive failure, with the "spread right off the edge of the bread" mentality. We'll forgive that kind of failure. What won't be forgiven is conservative failure. Never has, never will.

it's sad to think about it but the last time Hud and staff made in game adjustments to outcoach their opponent was??? The last game that I can remember the Cajuns winning against a team with equal or superior talent was against Nevada...in 2014. Ouch!
