Dont bother with rankings unless you are in the BCS conferences. We had players that lost stars over the course of a year for very little reason and many that probably could have another star as well.
Just know that this is Bustle's best class ever. Rankings are stupid.

Scout.com is retarded.
This class is no where near the bottom in the country.
We have some solid guys coming, plus a few nice JUCO's.
Realize this, but still gives an idea. Right now we are third in the Sunbelt and the Sunbelt is dead last for all conferences.
Do we stick with the conference that might grow? Do we go back to independent, possible to get more bigger checks and grow? Do we wait for a slight chance of going to a new conference that might develop out of re-alignment? Do we possible go to a bigger & stronger conference?
2010 is now becoming a keystone year for UL and our program, more so than just wins & loses and possible a bowl game.![]()

23 out of 25 signed and delivered. I'd say we did a pretty good job of holding onto to our commitments. Great job by our coaching staff!
Don't worry about Houston Bates. Just read on some Catholic webpage that he is set to sign LOI at noon. Oh well with him and oh hell yea with the ones we have coming in. Great class. Great work!

That's 24 of 25 recruits that have signed.
The only one left is St. Frederick DE Aaron Thibodeaux, who is set to sign at 12:30 p.m. with the Cajuns, per his prep coach.
This post is not very conventional. We really, at this point, have no say as to which conference we "go" to. We have not had the success required to really be a big draw for outside conferences to want us not to mention that realignment of some sort usually must take place for this shift to even occur and that is not expected at this time. Therefore, wondering what to do in conference selection is pointless.
SBC is dead last for what? If you are talking about Prestige, many would argue that the MAC could be considered last and even if the SBC is last, it is clearly obvious that the league as a whole is improving yearly. We are now constantly getting in 2+ teams into bowls each year and that is likely to continue for a while.
Being in a larger conference with better revenue sharing would be an obvious plus but we can't concern ourselves with that since that choice is out of our control. We need to bring in the best athletes, strap it up and get to 7 wins so we can go bowling and start some momentum to moving forward.
