Josh... what's the word on Spikes? I'm about to go out on my afternoon run, but can't right now cause I'm too nauseated over Spikes' LOI not being in.

    Any update?

Thanks...FOOFOO! I'm am, lifting myself off of the floor as I'm reading this... and will slowly go out for my run. My legs are still a bit wobbly after this scare, but I should be okay.

Look back a few pages. Would have said something earlier but was taking a shower before going to the signing party. (You can thank me later.) He just signed a little later than expected and wasn't able to get it in right away. It was never in doubt. I spoke with him right before and after he signed.

To correct a mistake said elsewhere, Spikes was not the last commitment in this class. (Thibodeaux was.) And he called the Cajuns on Sunday after visiting Utah, not Saturday.

Spikes' coach told me the delay in returning his NLOI was due to getting a signature from his father, who was working today, and waiting to get everything done right. Take that for what it's worth, but any other word right now is pure speculation. And without any proof and/or confirmation, it's quite an allegation.

You can not recieve partial scholarships for football. If he was awarded an thaletic scholarship for football it was a full ride. Spring sports are the only sporsts that can offer partial schollys.

Well I know that he didn't get a full scholarship. My buddy Brady punted for LSU, and he was on partial scholarship. I'm not sure why you're under the impression that it can't happen.

D1-A football is all or no ATHLETIC scholarship. He could have been on a partial academic scholarship. D1-AA and D2 can do partial. D3 are non-scholarship.

You may have misunderstood your buddy Brady. As cajun4life said, all football scholarships are full.
