One play play calling in the second half and a 4 turnover game including extremely horrendous offensive play. Heads up to our defensive line and linebackers for keeping in that game that we had no business being in with the way we played today
Next week, I think I'll pull for my alma mater. At least if they lose, I won't be psst off.
Please use lube next time coach! This one hurt too much.
A triple option team put up 4 touchdown passes against us. 4. ____ing 4. That's amazing. That has to be some kind of record.
I could hardly watch the OT, because it wasn't really resembling a football game. The amazing effort by EM (next year playing on sundays) was the only reason to pay attention. It was obvious that if Tulane threw the ball deep at least 50% of the time they would have a receiver wide open by 5+ yards. This was even though the field was condensed to 25 yards and end zone. The only reason the game was close is because Tulane is not a passing team. It took all game for them to realize that they need to turn to that back page of their triple option playbook that has the long passes, and just stick with that the rest of the way.
Maybe just maybe we forgot to fire one coordinator. That had to be one of the worst play calling I've seen. After being encouraged last week we revert back to last year play calling just disgusted. Put Nixon in to block called the same play every time. 1st and goal after a turnover run Eli up the middle three times. The Cajun bench was dead no emotion wide receiver's can't run a simple route o line lord oh lord. Wasted trip.
Ok, after I threw like 100 f-bombs into the stratosphere, the game came down to turnovers, period. That is exactly what Coach will say too.
I wish some other team had found Eli. He doesn't deserve this bull____. What an absolute warrior.
