As I said earlier, what someone on the staff believes to be good news may be trivial to the fan. Their livelihood depends on success here. They also don't necessarily look at the star rankings when they decide to make an offer. They look at the fit to the program and potential. Also, focusing on "stars" for a DL when a guy's senior season has just begun does not make much sense to me (either high or low). As far as this generating several posts here, the staff is not responsible for that. All that occurred is the assistant recruiting coordinator put out a tweet with a hint of encouraging news. Fans are the ones who had the story grow legs. Considering the role of the guy who put out the tweet, I am not surprised the news is something of this nature.
Far more than a hint Mike. Big time news is hard to downgrade to encouraging hint.
