There is a lot about the way UL does things to get really angry about.....hyping up a commitment isn't one of the things I'm really angry about.
In all seriousness. Let's hope we can hold
on to this guy. Hud has had trouble recruiting LA HS kids but this looks like an athletic lineman.
As I said earlier, what someone on the staff believes to be good news may be trivial to the fan. Their livelihood depends on success here. They also don't necessarily look at the star rankings when they decide to make an offer. They look at the fit to the program and potential. Also, focusing on "stars" for a DL when a guy's senior season has just begun does not make much sense to me (either high or low). As far as this generating several posts here, the staff is not responsible for that. All that occurred is the assistant recruiting coordinator put out a tweet with a hint of encouraging news. Fans are the ones who had the story grow legs. Considering the role of the guy who put out the tweet, I am not surprised the news is something of this nature.
I'm not complaining about a potential great pass rusher. Remember when we had two good ones and the defensive backs were very happy for that?
So the big news is...we got a commitment from an unrated player?
