And yet for someone who was in media in Lafayette he still only uses double L abbreviation for us (on purpose and not just while he's been in current role)

Because he has to! He does it to delineate between the universities located in Lafayette and Monroe. You both have the same names, the only difference is the location. So, he HAS to use ULL to specifically refer to UL@Lafayette as opposed to UL@Monroe. When are you idiots going to finally understand that? He HAS to!
