This program was set up for a 1 or 2 win season. The man in charge had designed a path to absolute failure, but something made him change course, drastically, twice, and it saved our season.
Troy commented yesterday that before Georgia southern they thought they could just play physical, run the ball and control clock because of the size of our OL...they decided to let it fly at GS bc they felt like they had nothing to lose. When will HUD learn scared money don't make money...not at this level. HUD had immediate success because he coached like he had nothing to lose from day 1...then as he was more successful he got more conservative.

    Turning point on the season.
There was a second turning point....Nixon's injury. Put an end to a year plus of doubt on the offensive side of the ball who the leader was.

    Good point.

I feel bad for Nixon, but you are right, that is what it took for the offense to reevaluate the situation.

Nixon has been posting how excited he is that he can possible dress out for the bowl to finish his career.
