No doubt about it, LSU found a way around the Louisiana Constitution.
Two Universities have come into existence that completely circumvented the unmistakable intent of the 1921 Constitution.
I get it, recipients of beneficial circumvention will never complain and will go out of their way to justify the actions.
Fact remains what LSU wants, LSU gets.

The Constitution did not lock down the Legislature just to have another State entity perform a slight of hand two step dance to establish new educational institution.
In 1965 when UL tried to open an extended campus across the Parish line in New Iberia (on land it already owned) the Constitution was used to shut them down.
I'm going to guess there were other issues in play....but..I guess I can see how U-S-L might have come by their persecution complex naturally.
That doesn't change the fact that you guys are fun to laugh at...
