Tulane has such a huge fan base they felt the need to move from the 75,000 seat Superdome to a 28,000 on campus stadium just to handle that rabid fan base!!! LMAO!!!

Actually, a good friend's son played defensive back for Tulane that year. I actually followed them pretty closely

Oh..wait....my bad. Withdraw the question. It was rhetorical in nature...

and based on the erroneous assumption that U-S-L graduates could read.

...or employ reason and common sense.
    What's a "Univeristy"?

I am fully on board. We will not call ourselves the Univeristy of Louisiana. You may now return to your hole.

Oh please....the average crowd at The NO Bowl is around 30K, it spiked when you all finally made it to a Bowl game....and then peaked when Tulane appeared at 54K....It went back to a little over 30K the following year when you went back.

I realize that cause and effect aren't U-S-L strong suits, but it's pretty to simple to see the spike and why it happened...

    And this changes what?

    But I digress....

The Law says you must include a Clarifier...and - speaking of NON-counterfactual and NON-imaginary thinking - the law says you MAY NOT use "The University of Louisiana" without the clarifier.

I think that's both instructive and dispositive.
The nickname "Louisiana" does neither. "University of Louisiana" ok.

During WWII Cajuns were often called "Louisiana" do you think they were calling them a land mass?

"Louisiana" is an apt nickname as it was the first school not named Agricultural & Mechanical to have current students from every single Parish.

2nd largest school in the State for 77 years.

    Louisiana fits.

Try not to go into fits.

It was their first Bowl game in 11 years...so...go figure that the attendance was high...
Over 40,000 in red.....you are entertaining....

When your line of attack is the intelligence of others.....don't misspell anything. It just makes you look like a dumbass. But of course you have been working on that for a few hundred posts now.

I understand the argument you think you're trying to make. But, I think you'd be better served by trying to convince the legislature...

Yet you still struggle to get 12,000 in your little high school stadium.
