"McNeese was born on July 4, 1843, in New York City to Scottish American parents, who died of tuberculosis when he was nine. He then lived with the family of Dr. Nathaniel Stafford in Baltimore until joining the Union Army in 1861."
Wow, im surprised he got enough votes from the lsu board....I didn't think those stars and bars flagwavers in baton rouge like Yankees in these parts....
"In 1887, McNeese earned his law degree from Tulane University"

"McNeese State University was founded in 1939 as a division of Louisiana State University and was originally called Lake Charles Junior College."

" McNeese is the first university in the State of Louisiana to offer a concentration in forensic chemistry."
Very impressive, cant wait for the new series : CSI - McNeese State locker room
Oh...and about that 54K....YOU didn't bring that many people. There were that many people because the opponent was Tulane, who is - and I know this is going to be a shocker - actually located IN New Orleans....
It was their first Bowl game in 11 years...so...go figure that the attendance was high...
But, as with all thing U-S-L, that's a very nice attempt at Turd polishing...
U-S-L brought 54K to the Super Dome?
