    The Louisiana Constitution

Which is ironic and hypocritical when you compare it to the lofty standard of We can't find a law that says you CAN'T change your name, but we also can't find a law that says you can. So you can't.

Turdbine, the Louisiana Constitution has been amended on multiple occasions....which law, specifically, are you referring to that would have prevented (In 1939) McNeese from splitting off from LSU??

If it's any consolation, we got slapped too...

We had to add "STATE" back into our name when we tried to move to "McNeese University" in the early 80's.

You can check your persecution complex at the door, you guys weren't the only ones singled out.

You're just the only ones who are STILL butthurt about it more than three decades later...

Even after you got a partial victory by convincing the folks in Monroe to share the name with you.

    So....it is what it is....

When a dog pees on a fire hydrant, he's not committing vandalism, he's just being a dog.

Same thing with Cajun fans....When you guys fixate on homoerotic themes, you're not being insulting, you're just apparently focusing on what you're most comfortable with.

It's like name brand recognition, really.....Cajun fans = Homoerotic fixation.

It would be inappropriate to make value judgements about that in 2016...
We just want y'all to be happy in your own skin....preferably lamb skin... In the hole. No fixation, just real talk.

Why are you fine gentlemen lowering your selves to mingle with the help? They are here to hand us our W and then go back to their shanties.

McNeese was part of LSU in 1939, an arm of the school. The 2/3 law was not "required"

In 1950 it was established as a new "stand alone" institution, the Louisiana Constitution required that the Legislature's approval to the tune of a 2/3 vote. It didn't happen.

If true, McNeese got caught in their own web, the legislature's retroactive laws on name changes had to be enforced and by stopping McNeese University they were just trying not to further expose the hypocrisy.

So it is entirely possible that we could spend millions for equipment and not be able to use it for a single football game, at least the way the ESPN deal is structured now.
    Raycom is free to sub-sub-sub-lease.
