You try to hard to convince the rest of the world that you're "THE University of Louisiana,'' worthy of a Flagship designation, when the reality is you're the ____ing Devry Institute of Electronics, except without the accomplished graduates, academic relevance or athletic accomplishment.

    But...keep selling the snake oil...
    You just proved it. Stalker.

Holy ____ that's ignorant and bass ackwards..

Oh, wait. You're a Cajun fan who thinks your school is THE University of Louisiana. Suddenly your perspective makes perfect sense.

A visit to your proctologist for a cranial extraction could potentially change that....
I lived in Alex for about a year...a very nice town. From there I got transferred to the chuck. Was really happy at first, thought I'd be closer to home. It was so bad I never moved there, just commuted from lafayette. 1.25 hour away each way, every day for two years. Never regretted it.
And I had a friend that lived in Delhi and went to school @ruston. So yeah, I know first hand those two places are too.

Not sure what there is to question. One of the largest ports in the country, industrial hub, casinos...

Not seeing the issue here. Seems pretty obvious to me. That fake ___ culture in Lafayette is the only difference. There's more culture in the rice fields of Vermilion Parish than there is in all of Lafayette.
Port of Lake Charles can't hang with Port Barre though.

You're mistaking my disdain for the Pentathlam for hating it. Granted, I haven't looked at it lately, but I did actually take a look at it when you guys first started trying to peddle it as a measuring stick of where you were at as a program.

I laughed heartily then...now, I mostly chuckle at the mental gymnastics necessary to come up with a formula that selectively weights a Lady Cajun softball win as more relevant than an LSU football win in front of 93,000 people when you're evaluating chances to see your college win.

You clearly get an A + for effort, tempered by a F for logic.

But, seriously, the effort is outstanding!

Ruston's the quintessential quaint southern town...kinda like Natchitoches....Minden, too, for the most part. Alexandria? Meh...Monroe? Meh squared.

Only you and yours used it as a measuring stick for a "program."

It is a measuring stick for fans experience on game day.

Ruston? Quaint? Only if you like uptight, holier-than-thou hypocrites who force their values on everyone, while looking down their noses at everyone. Yeah, that's some nice people to be around.
Now natchitoches is a cool little college town, with a nice history and good vibe.

You would never understand what striving to have complete athletic department means. Y'all don't have much in terms of great teams. When have y'all actually done something on a national level in sports. Y'all best sport nationally is bull riding.
