Well...I suppose we could always move up and follow the USL model of being the rent-a-win of the week until we land in a conference like the Sunbelt, but after the way the last two FCS teams ran through that league like a hot knife through butter when they moved up, I'm guessing that door will be slammed shut.

Of course, you have to play both of those teams this year instead of getting to feast on hapless Georgia State again...should be interesting to see how it all works out...

McNeese is still the rent a win...for far less. Tell me the nightmares you have of Ameer Abdullah...

----Very Interesting that we did beat McNeese for the second straight year 50 years ago---and yes yours truly kicked my final extra point and played in my last game for the Cajuns---We were defending Champs and lost about 8 starters at one point---but we did win it50 years ago!!! lol Tempus fugit!!!

Yes, clearly the New Orleans Bowl is incredibly relevant on the national stage....it gave all your stellar athletes a place to showcase their abilities...which is why your QB was drafted ahead of, say, Carson Wentz, who won the most recent FCS title...

That is the way it works, right? Play for a major program like City College of South Central Louisiana @ Lafayette and go to a high profile bowl like one of the spare ones in New Orleans and you're a lock to get drafted?
