I probably won't forget though.

Put it this way...this is how much I respect macncheese...when it came to my children picking where to further their education after high school, I told them I'd help financially anywhere they selected except one place. McNeese.

ULL baseball is ranked no1 in country and hosting a regional this weekend. Let me tell you this I hate ULL even more than lsu and I don't like lsu. What I want to know is why couldn't this type of success happen at McNeese??? Is it because we don't play in the fbs in football therefore we are not in a big enough conference to acquire enough money to succeed. I do believe that if we played ULL in conference like we used to, neither one of our stadiums is big enough to handle the amount of fans that would want to go. Is it because their are too many lsu fans in lake Charles and no matter what McNeese does lake Charles will not support it ??? Very possible because the media both print and television love them some lsu, you would think we are living in Baton Rouge because of the extensive coverage. Why the people in lake Charles are so proud of a college and team 3 hrs away instead of their own college I will never understand. ULL seems to have found success, so maybe they are a model that we should follow to see more college and city pride here. Who knows it may lead to more economic success, can you imagine lake Charles hosting a softball or baseball regional???? Why not us????"
The best thing about that post is it comes from one of their fans who led the charge for decades telling us that we made a mistake in going D1A and we should know our place (which in their mind was to be like mcneese). Now of after decades of howling how wrong we were they are now eyeing our successes and saying they should emulate us.

Because he is a Louisiana politician at heart. And we all gave him an earful about it.

Hey, just because you turned your back on this university that you stated you attended and obviously don't consider it "yours" doesn't mean everyone is as disloyal as you.

It's too late for MSU to play me too u. But hey, they knew their place.
I assume you're referring to me (RRman)? While I appreciate the recongnition, we are not one & the same. I believe this was previously suggested regarding another user. I know several UL zelots like yourself have a hard time accepting this, but I am a UL grad & season ticket holder, unlike the users you attempt to associate me with.

For too long, we made the likes of McNeese believe we were cut from the same cloth and had no place in D1A football. If Stokley would have had more support, we would have been way way beyond where we are now. By not stoking the athletic fire to it's maximum burn, our solid efforts in building our academics were virtually unrecognized by outside the institution. Now, we're just beginning to gather our flock around athletics, and we've leaped forward. It doesn't matter what other schools' fans blather about. We've all been blathering so much for so long, none of us have credibility with one another. The improvements we're making are only slightly apparent to the other state schools. When we clearly have the substantial components in place, they are going to see and feel it to their bone marrow. We just started building the new us. We shouldn't even be this far along. It only took minimal effort in attitude adjustment, and we've got it cranked up.

---yes great post but I think that the other schools are quickly becoming aware of our progress--the enemy comes to RPagin and other outlets that show our new facilities---last week or about the entire new APC video was posted on the Tulane Huddle--Yes the word is not gotten to all, but it is getting out pretty good now!!!
