After we wet the bed again this Saturday, that tinker toy stadium in LC would be plenty big enough to meet our needs the rest of the year.

    I have to admit something.

I'm looking forward to what clever cheer McNeese High writes on the banner the team will run through pre-game.

If and if the Cajuns wet the bed this weekend, the South AL games attendance will be very Baldwin like.

LSU certainly predated the La. Constitution of 1921, so McNeese's founding, as a division of LSU in 1939, was completely in compliance with the section you cited.

After that, a number of name changes were approved for the school and it eventually got its current name in 1970. Yes, there was a vote to split it off from LSU, but the entity existed so it wasn't a vote to create something that wasn't there.

I gotta give you an F on that one....
I love how you agree with everything I have been saying and then proceed to give me an F.

I have always maintained that as an arm of LSU no "new" "institution" was established in 1939.

However in 1950 when McNeese broke off the back of LSU and became an independent institution, they should have needed a 2/3 vote.

    It didn't happen.

Maybe they will be like a few peewee football teams and fail to break thru the paper. A parent nearby will have to break the paper so the team can come thru.

Even if McNeese wins, they have to go back to Lake Charles.

Heaven forbid the McNeese fans be interested in the next football game our team is playing. Now, if we weren't playing a game and the McNeese fans were on here doing the same, your post might have a little validity.

Make sure you guys don't forget game jerseys. Would hate for y'all to have to borrow ours again. We know FormerPokeCenter takes special care of the jockstraps, so thats one less item the trainers will have to double check for.

“So what if we’re bowl eligible, we lost to freaking McNeese….again.”

Jay, I'd have to say that if we lose to McNeese, we won't be sniffing bowl eligibility so lets keep things in perspective.

We won't need the extra capacity, I can say that.

    Didn't read. No need to.

    DIDN'T READ but...

This might not be a popular statement -

McNeese is to UL what UL is to LSU

McNeese envies what UL has and does. It sees the facilities, it sees our programs being successful (for the majority)on the D1 stage and it's bitter. They HATE us and we act like we don't care about that little spec on the map and that's the way it is. If McNeese wins Saturday. The UL fan base will devour The Hud and Fot Sarmer and his cronies. This will be a MAJOR step back in our program.

We hate LSU. We feel that they hold us down. There's a lot more that goes into the LSU 5hit but it parallels with the above. We envy their money. We envy their fan base (even though 70% are Diamond Shamrock Tigahs). If the Cajuns beat LSU in football, you'll have to put high fences along the basin bridge to stop the misery. A Cajuns win would ultimately end with an entire staff getting chopped at LSU and probably a few buildings burned down on campus.

We act like McNeese is our little sister.
LSU acts like UL is their little red headed step brother.

Just on the record - I hate them both
