The only experience I have with McNeese football is being on the UL football staff that took a team to Lake Charles in 1986 and broke our foot off in your asses. That should have been the last time UL played you in Football. Why UL would schedule a politically backstabbing dumpster fire College like yours is beyond me. UL is supposed to win this game. If UL does not, I would fire the AD for scheduling this game because UL has nothing to gain by doing what it's supposed to do. Now you may return to whatever it is you are doing here.

Speaking of National Championship Wins...where does a win in the New Orleans Bowl put you in the pantheon of final rankings?

85th place? Or does the New Orleans Bowl rank slightly higher than the Cure Bowl and / or the Nova Home Loans bowl?

McNeese is dying and you know it. On a great day y'all put 10k in the stands and little to no fans for other sports. Academically, y'all barely above a Texas High School in terms of attendance. Face it buddy, you'll be dropping the whole institution soon if our inept government ever gets off raising taxes and starts dropping needless spending.

P.S. McNeese has always been in App State and Ga. Southerns rear view mirror. So don't try to ride the coat tails of those two championship programs to make yours look better.

SLC is at best a middle of the pack conference in the FCS. Playing Nicholls EVERY year says more about y'all padded schedule than ours. Then throw in Lamar, Incornate Word, Houston Baptist, then OOC y'all schedule Arkansas Tech Wonderboys, Tarleton State, etc. I thought y'all was a title aspiring FCS team. Seems y'all try to skate through a ____ poor conference and hope it all comes together in the playoffs.

I am not getting into the McNeese vs UL argument because it is a colossal waste of time for both parties. What I am concerned about is the amount of money that has been poured into our programs and facilities over the last 5 + years and what kind of return, or lack thereof, we have seen from 2 of the bigger sports. The fans have done their part by pledging enough funds to pay our coach quite well, buying season tickets and tailgating spots and whatever else the administration has asked them to do. We have done our part.................we are still waiting on the admin to do theirs.

The McNeese poster has laughed at our New Orleans Bowl victories and record over the past several years, let him. It's called progress, we just have to keep the nose of the ship going in the right direction and inching ahead. Our Athletic Department and/or coaches have not done a good job of keeping us inching ahead. Call it delusional, unrealistic expectations or whatever you want but we as fans deserve what we are paying for and we are not getting it. We can also do something about this by using our pocket books.

There is no reason that we should be worried about McNeese ever beating us in football but that is the reality at this point. Our coaches haven't recruited good enough, haven't coached good enough, haven't prepared good enough. They, and they only, are responsible for the upset that quite possibly will happen this weekend. In no way, shape or form am I disrespecting McNeese by my comments above but it is the truth. This game should be a one sided affair due to the obvious advantages FBS schools SHOULD have over an FCS. In our case.........our university has screwed the pooch and put us on a level playing field with them.
