I laughed heartily then...now, I mostly chuckle at the mental gymnastics necessary to come up with a formula that selectively weights a Lady Cajun softball win as more relevant than an LSU football win in front of 93,000 people when you're evaluating chances to see your college win.
You should really quit using LSU to bolster your McNeese leaning argument.

Having said that, LSU's Softball team has equal representation. Their beating UL in the fan experience ranks has been dually noted each and every year it happened without bias.

As far as quantity of people it is irrelevant. No one person (that experiences game day) represents more than themselves.

If you as "1 person" attends every event how many times did you experience a win.

By the Massey system the Cajuns are a 4 point favorite (3.78). Boise State is very good and in particular they are very good on offense with a lot of experience in key positions.

McNeese is breaking in a new head coach, a new quarterback, a largely new offensive line, and a new secondary.

Obviously, McNeese was pointing at this game more during the summer than the Cajuns were. Hard to say what impact getting handled by Boise State will have. I actually think it's worse for McNeese's chances that it happened the way it did. I think a win or a competitive loss would have the Cajuns looking "back" more than what happened will. Not saying McNeese has no chance but I think this particular scenario is about the "worst" from McNeese's standpoint with respect to expecting the Cajuns to be hungry and focused.

Hard to say what McNeese has. But this is a big game for the Cowboys. It's what "Zem" calls an oil check game. It'll say a lot about what they do have. Also a win over a FBS could be important should they be in contention for an at large bid for the playoffs.

BTW from McNeese standpoint, if they want to be where they want to be in the context of FCS, they need to be good enough to win a game like this. That's because where they want to be is good enough to be a FCS national contender. We all know about North Dakota State. But if you look at the first weekend you can see other indications of what's necessary to be where McNeese wants to be.

You had Northern Iowa beat Iowa State, Eastern Washington beat Washington State, and Richmond beat Virginia this past weekend. Those kinds of teams are out there if you're McNeese and you want to be a national factor in your subdivision.

    Time to bring this back..,

MANY moons ago, the girl I was dating and I were busy making the windows sweat in my old car one night in front of Bonin Hall. We were about to reach the promise land when she moans out "Oh baby, kiss me where it stinks!!!"

So being a considerate male, I replied, "Are you sure?".

Once again, she pleaded "Oh please, kiss me where it stinks baby!"

So I got up, put my pants on and started the car. She inquired "What the heck are you doing?"

I replied, "Well, you want me to kiss you where it stinks, so we're going to Lake Charies."

That's correct. From out standpoint the Boise score didn't indicate where we are as a team either. It was a mercy killing. At this point in Hud's tenure we should be competing with programs like Boise and occasionally pull off the upset. We didn't compete at all.

We expect to be in the 40-75 range when it comes down to the end of the year rankings. Anything else in the Sun Belt is unrealistic.

Hard to say how a better game against BSU would have affected the Cajuns this week. But the loss, with all of the flaws, doesn't tell me anything with how the Cajun team attitude will be this week. Do they show up ready to take it out on McNeese... or are they rattled? I still think we'll win... but what I saw out of our coaching preparation this past Saturday... winning anything will be difficult. Our only hope is if our athletes choose to do the absolute best sandlot football (out run, out jump, out wrestle, out hustle) this year... and start with their best against McNeese.

Our coaches should be massively ashamed. If they are ashamed of themselves... and they douche their football cooters... and start actually coaching... it sure would be nice for our program.

Hud told us he was going to put so much spread on the spread it would fall off the edge of the bread this year. All I saw was his skid mark. If he's good with that... McNeese wins hands down.

It has been my experience that good athletes that have actually accomplished things on the field, court or diamond are not the one's that engage in the type of banter being expressed by "Formerpokecenter".

He should change his screen name to "Formerbackuppokecenter" to more accurately reflect his contribution (or lack thereof) to his former team.

I feel bad for Ryan street i do .. Not many schools have to worry about being closed down by the state in a budget crunch

Damn, as terrible as the Cajuns looked last Saturday and they are still a favorite???? How bad must Vegas think McNeese is? Unbelievable.

Duggie, being a 4 point home favorite is a very very bad thing for UL. And honestly, I was not the least bit concerned, until that line showed up. I still think we'll crush the little twerps, but that line gave me pause.

It is funny though.. That a few of their adolescent fans came over to RP and attempted smack talk. It was cute. They've been waiting a long time for their Super Bowl, bless their little hearts.
