The rest of the SBC isn't bringing in McNeese, it's an eastward inclined conference. IMO they would be just as happy to see both Texas schools adios.

What are you guys talking about?!?! Come on, UL should easily dispatch of McNeese. Why is this even up for debate? They are a glorified high school. None of their players could even play for us, much less hold AJ's jock strap. This isn't 2007 anymore, and this isn't the 70s or 80s.

It's not the fact of being negative. It's the fact that our team lacks basic fundamentals in year 6. I wholeheartedly agree with you that we shouldn't worry about losing to a SLC school. But facts are facts. We do not look like a good team right now. And also, McNeese is notorious for pulling upsets against superior teams. Take a look at what they did to South Florida a few years back. Plus, that same Northwestern team that we beat last season was downright awful, even for SLC standards. So, say what you want but we better be ready next week because if we goof around; we are going to have ourselves a game come 3rd quarter.

You ain't getting it, Hud has plateaued. As Boomer likes to say the Peter Principle is involved, except his rise was outside of the organization to the level of incompetence.

Win, lose, or draw an impossible event in almost any case, Hud has peaked and will continue to go in a downward spiral. A McNeese loss would only hasten the downward spiral.

Why has he peaked? He was a motivator and had lots of talent in the cupboard. Over the years kids have seen though him, and we are not getting those type players anymore. His recruiting honeymoon is over and it's a grim future.
