Sorry. I don't consider Ryan street high a rival. I don't give a damn if they had beaten us in every sport every time.

I DO care that members of their university and community have on more than one occasion have done everything they could to hurt the university I graduated from. If it takes 100k posts to express that I (and others) hold this against McNeese and Lake Charles so be it. These items did not happen on the field, court, track or pitch. They have nothing to do with direct athletic competition. Know thy enemy.

So I'm one of those that feel helping them in any way, shape or form should not come from our community or university. Let them die a slow death athletically, it hurts McNeese in the bigger picture.

I'd go step further and wish them a slow death academically as well, but the legislature is taking care of that for us already.

They are that one cousin who can't get off the meth and no matter how formal the family gathering always rocks the dirty t shirt sipping whiskey out a coffee mug...at best

McNeese isn't competing at a high level amongst the best... being in the FCS. All you want is company, Misery.

We are enjoying ourselves profusely right now and you guys are jealous. McNeese wishes they had our current situation. We are on the rise. We're recruiting lights out, and we haven't even broke the ribbon on the first phase of our new facilities. Our ladies go to the WCWS (only in state), MBB goes to the NCAAs (only in state), men's baseball is ranked number 1 and host a super (only in state)... and our football team has three straight bowl wins in their pocket. Our preseason ranking places us in a very respectable position in the FBS. Some publications see us as the potential recipient of a much loftier bowl this year (whether you comprehend bowls or not). One of our bowls was ranked as one of the most exciting of the year. We had people all over the country rooting for the Cajuns (and still do).

And I hate to say it... but if McNeese is losing money when it doesn't appear you're spending a nickel on improvements... it isn't time to consider FCS to FBS... It's time to consider dropping football.


Now... if you didn't like my suggestion... keep yours to yourself next time.

I'm an "old" fan...lol. Other than Robe, I cannot find any justification for any Cajun team to have any contact with McNeese.

Visited their site tonight. Seems they have a glare problem and is why they don't draw. Please...someone pull a nipple out for these titty babies.

Incarnate Word (and other SLC newbies), Barbe, and LSU is the reality of their football attendance demise.

All of their blobviating about the merits of their decision to go d1aa versus our decision to D1A aside, one glaring distinction in where we are can be found on the message boards. At mcneese they have a thread celebrating the fact that they have enough fan interest to fill half a season's worth of "goodie bags" with Snickers bars for their players. Meanwhile on our message board we have a fan offering $1000 for a tailgate spot. And to top it off he can't find any other fan willing to take the deal!!!!

Yea, Johnstonge, tell us again who made the right decision?

I know I should not post this article, but it is out there and thought others might want to read. Also I am not sure why this article is being written in the first place, must be a slow month for Underdog Dynasty. So I will say I am sorry in advance for posting.
