Cajuns looking like 1-3 to start the year once again
Between the Cajuns and the saints, I miss what a win feels like. The Cajuns haven't won in nearly a calendar year. It's going to be difficult the next few weeks too if they keep playing like they did today.
Since Stevie P isn't on RP, and most on this board won't be listening anyway, I'll fill in.......
REPEAT AFTER ME:
1. LARGE sample size!!
2. We're a YOUNG team!
3. It's NOT a conference game, so it's not important.
4. ALL our goals are STILL in front of us!!
5. Our GOAL is to win the SunBelt!!
Again.. If you cant COMPETE with a 25-30 ranked team at home.. What's the point?
This latest debacle was on coaching, plain and simple. I felt like it was 2015 all over again.
This is a pretty good Mountain West team. P5 and G5 was made up by the networks and money conferences, not by players actually on the field. With 85 scholarships there are enough really good players to create the Boise States, TCU's Utahs, and Houstons'. Granted TCU and Utah have moved to money conferences but they made their way in the so called little conferences.
As I stated in another thread losing to Boise in your first game isn't necessarily a bad thing. Oregon lost then went on to win the PAC, Virginia Tech lost then won the ACC, Georgia lost and won the SEC. Have faith in your team and go and win the Sun Belt!
