Two flooded businesses and a flooded home in New Orleans have made the last five years challenging for George Putnam Jr., but today, he is all smiles because he is headed to the Super Bowl.
One thing that has helped him and other New Orleans residents move forward since Hurricane Katrina has been the New Orleans Saints.
“Everyone has good fans,” Putnam said. “But just the emotion behind it in New Orleans is dedicated and passionate. One of the Saints players is a patient of mine. I told him I should be calling him doctor.”
