A win over Boise would be perceived as bigger than a lot of P5's.
The win over Texas A&M will still be bigger.
The win over Boise State is a bigger victory than the Texas A&M victory
The victories are equal.
A win over Boise would be perceived as bigger than a lot of P5's.
Changing the debate a bit because I dont think you can compare the two wins because that was 20 years ago.
My opinion is a win over Texas A&M next season would be bigger than a win over Boise this season. The presses will not stop if we beat Boise. To everyone one else, it's just a g5 school beating another g5 school. Boise lost to New Mexico last year..you can't tell me that is a bigger win for New Mexico than if they beat Texas AM.
The TAMU win was almost like the ULMOST win vs The Higs. Both had bad seasons after starting in top 25.
We're not talking SEC TAMU but Big XII TAMU.
It's only big if we do something else this season and Boise has a good season. Didn't Ulmost go to a bowl the year they beat the Hogs? Would be akin to the blind squirrel finding a nut if we tank the rest of the season.
We had, what was it, 7 take aways from TAMU? And we didn't blow them out. And their coach, Mr. Personality, was running on fumes towards his canning. Thrilled we won, but I'm still waiting to beat a GOOD P-5 team.
A win against Boise will mean nothing if we don't take W's against App, Georgia Southern, and Ark.State...
