Forgot about those folks...so let's look at this again...
People outside Cajun Field/LSU Tailgate/Never make it inside....5,000
Boise State Fans......1200
Cajun Fans....21500
Folks who think the game is at 6p due to a lack of UL Marketing...20,000
Parents of kids who just want them to run in the pre-game race and then leave...50
That would make for a huge overflow crowd...until the fire marshal shows up...
UL Football Marketing, or as I call it, Tradition takes a back seat...
I'm guessing this is/was sarcasm. But the production trucks and the Cox deal are two completely different deals.
We were set to purchase two or three true 4K UHD broadcast production trucks and additional equipment for $3-4 million. This would allow us to produce our own broadcast and sell it to any network who wanted to carry our games to fill time slots. ESPN would still receive the broadcast as well.
This would have allowed us to broadcast any athletic event we wanted without restrictions. It could also be used to create a broadcast journalism curriculum and tie into academics. So many possibilities.

Yes it was sarcasm. Hence the /s tag and the comment about lawyers. I understand what was supposed to happen but this is S Farmer's administration and saying and delivering is two different things.
I've often wonder how a rinky dink School like WKU in the middle of nowhere new how to be on television/internet 10 years ago while we were getting half chubby from Cox asking us for a dance. They were smart enough to now if you control your own production you control the message. First locally then nationally.
We here are comfortable with just a local radio personality being our main media presence.
