  1. UL Football Hudspeth high on Cajun safeties

Juco-transfers Howard and Williams join returning starter Crawford in what probably will be a three-man rotation

That is really tough news about Shelby Christy.

Career is over? I know he had a substantial knee injury but is there something more to that?

I don't think this is his first knee injury and maybe after sitting out 2 consecutive years he is moving on.

The article mentioned he had torn an ACL a couple years ago but didn't specify which knee. Just seemed like an abrupt end to his entire football career. Sucks for the young man. Hope he has success in whatever he decides to do.

Well that sucks. I had high hopes for Shelby. Why are all our big receivers always having knee issues? Are we asking them to post up for jump balls to much and their bodies can't handle it? If that's the case, we should borrow some post guys from Marlin. They should be accustomed to the physicality.

he was getting deeper in the depth chart .. this just had to crush any hope he had left to play football

I can see this happening ... it is tough work to rehab after an injury, and to do it again ... and again ... it just gets too mental.
